Summary
The Newcom Department 1 plenary meeting took place on Friday
May 13, 2005, at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des
Télécommunications in Paris.
Following the four supra work package meetings
(see the parent directory),
the plenary meeting's aim was to bring together
all four supra work packages for a global view of progress and
collaborations within and beyond department 1.
Despite some logistical setbacks in the morning
(such as the video projector breaking down,
combined with a useless local wi-fi router),
the day proceeded on schedule,
with 50 attendees and 16 presentations,
consisting both of supra work package overviews
as well as scientific exposés.
