The major item on the agena was the selection of Technical
Correspondents for each subtopic that has evolved in the definition
of knowledge gaps.
The Technical Correspondents will assist me in preparing
upcoming scientific reports, mainly in their capacity
as scientific experts on their designated topics,
functioning therefore as scientific proofreaders.
The first task will involve completing the final version of our document
on Knowledge Gaps, which will form the basis of our first deliverable
for Department 1 activities.
The present list of subtopics, and the corresponding Technical
Correspondents, is as follows:
- Error Correction Coding for Moderate Block Lengths
- Igal Sason - Technion (05)
- Emmanouil Kalantzis - Intracom (04)
- Øyvind Ytrehus - UiB (49)
- Signal Design for OFDM and MIMO Systems
- Robert Fischer - UEN (30)
- Xavier Mestre - CTTC (09)
